Visa Interview at Canada

Hi,

Has anyone in this message board from a SR country recently had visa interview at a U.S. consulate in Canada? Specifically an F1->H1 interview. How long is it taking? What is the success rate? Any personal interview experience would be appreciated.

Don't worry take an appointment from Ottawa. You willbe OK.
Interview time in Ottawa isnot more then 15 min.

Safdarali, thanks for your reply. Are u from a SR country? Did u recently face a visa interview in Canada? I need to travel to my home country and don't want to be stuck in Canada for 3/4 weeks with my family. So, you're saying they issue the visa on the same day and no 3/4 weeks wait for background checks for SR people?
 
For me they asked me to wait for Seurity clearance as I am from SR country Pakistan. That was in June in Toronto.
For y Son who applied from Ottawa in Aug they never asked him to wait. He is 18 yrs old. He got the visa on same day.
One of the applicant who recently get visa from Ottawa and he is also from Pakistan...the visa was issued on same day & no waiting for him also for clearance.
What I suggest you to apply in Ottawa and also plan your trip from Canada....in this way even if you are asked for wait....security clearance etc you can go on vacation & after coming back re-visit the consulate/embessy & get your visa.....
