Visa Fee increase ???

Hi Alren,
If my fee receipt issued before April 30th
Do i need to pay the new rising visa fee (335$+55$) or the old one like 335$ for my Cp process.

I have no idea.

Personally I have low level of confidence in Indian media regarding US immigration (esp. TOI). That's why I was seeking any official details.

Also banking on guys who will go to interview in May, I posted the same in May/June thread for Mumbai. I hope to be in the same boat come June.

I mailed the consulate to ask for the fee increase. They replied back saying there is no fee increase and it stands at $335. I will go with that assuming they will inform if there is a change in fee.

You should not have to pay any extra unless if you have courier fees applicable.

If payment is made on or before 4/30 then one is not affected by fee increase.
 
Spoke to my lawyer

She said for now the fee increase is affected only for USCIS cases. CP cases are not affected by this. But this may change in future. So I guess unless something comes on the consulate website or http://travel.state.gov/nvc.html we dont have to worry about it.
