Visa ext for Mother

Hi Guys,

I want to extend my mothers b2 visa. I filled up I-539 form and wants to know what reasons I should give for her extension. She is here for 6 months and I want her to stay for another six months.
One more thing, do I need to show the flight details(ticket copy) when she will be leaving?

Say she desires to spend time with you & tour the country.

Do not provide any information that would indicate she is here for baby sitting, perform any kind of house work, taking care of someone, someone is pregnant etc.

Provide compeling reason that requres her return to her home country.

Provide a definate plan to return with a date. Copy of ticket will help.

Hey Thanks for the reply. Do I need to buy the ticket before I apply for Extension. What if they reject the extension. Is it like we have to take chances??

Please help on this.

In most cases applicants provide a return ticket with an open date. Consider purchasing a fully refundable ticket. You can always refund the full amount and purchase the discounted ticket anytime.
