Hi all,
My current visa will be expired 10 days from today. There's a chance that I could be able to change status to R1 visa but up until today I still haven't heard anything from the organization who was seems eager to sponsor me for R1 visa. Therefore, I either have to leave the country in 10 days or overstay. If I overstay, what are the chances that I can depend on the immigration reform?

I was reading other thread and it seems to me some people wrote that the immigration reform is not going to happen, is this true?? I thought that immigration reform will happen, it is just a matter of time. Is there new development that make people believe there won't be immigration reform? Somebody please keep me update on this.

Thanks,
Nick

You can't just overstay and wait on immigration reform. Is not going to pass any time soon and it would probably not apply to you (most likely to people who have been here for years and years).

So, go home and come back in 6 months once this organization makes up their mind.

The immigration reform is not something that we can wait for. Like the previous person say it's not going to pass any time soon and you will only end up hurt if you wait for something that's not even official. Hope you can solve your issue soon.
