Honestly, I keep sending letters to senators and praying, but I also already found a part-time position using my EAD so that allows me to make some extra money and bring a little bit of variety into my professional life.

Its all nonsense and trash. The Senaate committee keep working on this issue for its life time. All are white , then why do they bother about you. By keep people waiting for more time, they get more work less pay. Also they can cash on illegal with political/financial gain.
We , the immigrants has to send Faxes or telegrams for them to consider with sympathy to treat you as human being. Useless acts of these people make immigrants as more 2nd grade citizens.
Mean time work places are becoming hostile. Every idot white is manager and (high school) graduate. These guys are thinking wit their asses(Alwas have a word as asshole in their conversation).

Just to give you an idea, I have a BSEE and half done with an MBA from a good school, plus 9+ years of experience. At work they hired a guy there that indirectly is my manager; a 23 year old kid, out of the high school. His previous job as far as I know was carrying boxes at Home Depot. No reason to brag about myself, but myself and many others around believe that I am the one who make projects work, provide leadership, etc. However I don't get a penny for it and no promotions. Bosses are smart, they know circumstances and actually enjoy we are in this situation.

However don't you all believe that it is THEIR country and they can do as they see fit. After all it was their forefathers who worked so hard to build this country up to the level that it is at. Previously European countires were superpowers, now no more. Likewise, if the US keeps this sort of thing up and loses their way, they too will be overtaken someday. US was a hardworking meritocracy in generations gone by. Now (starting with the baby boomers) it seems to be becoming a capitalist exploited, entitlement assuming etc etc and you guys are seeing the effects of that. It is sort of like in a family when a few generations worked so hard they left their offspring with everything, money, status etc etc.Yet the offspring are spoilt rotten and lose their way and squander their advantages, it can happen at a national level also. You see that all around you daily. Some families are maintaining the culture and values that put this county where it is, but many more are losing them.
We mush not let this eat away at us, though we live it. At some level it is the innate ability to recover from these things that has served this country well throughout its history. I suspect sooner or later all of us will be set free to follow our will in THIS land. I doubt there has been a sea change of the extreme that america has forgot its roots forever.

I tried every single job advertisement website and it didn't work - I just received invitations for full-time interviews. then finally I tried Craiglist.org - and bang. That worked. Try that. Good luck.
