My parents got their visa approved for 10 years in chennai consulate on Jul 13th. The interview went really smooth. They carried all the paper work ie. income tax returns, property documents, retirement papers, Bank Passbooks etc. This forum was really helpful.

Now that I want to sponsor visas for my in-laws and I also got an appointment for them sometime in september'04 for them. My question is since it will not be even 2 months I sponsored my parents visa, is there any chances of queries on sponsorship? Please give me your inputs.

Thanks.

Congrats PHGUY!!

Hi Phguy,
Can u pls elaborate more on the documentation u sent and also abt the interview.
Did the consular officer look into all ur documents + ur parents documents?

Did you invite them " Visiting for Toursit"? or Did u give anyother reason?

Did u write any letter to Consulate from ur side?

Did ur parents write any letter to Consulate ?

Was the interview in English or native language?

You can also email me - immidude74@yahoo.com, if you feel to share it here in this forum.

Thanks,

Hi Immidude74,

These are the documents I send:
1.Photo copies of my passport.
2. my current H1 copy.
3. Last 3 paystubs
4. Last year W2
5. I-134 signed & notarized
6. Statement from my bank with all my accounts details & balances.

I did not write any invitation letter from my end. My parents stated that they want to visit me & my family and stay with us and also visit US in their notarized personal affidavit.

Questions asked in the interview:

1. Which company does your son work for?
2. When did he leave for US?
3. What kind of property you have in India?
(My father owns an Apartment, it seems they were asking particularly if it was an independent house or an apartment)

They looked at all the my papers and their papers and returned them.

BTW: Interview was done in regional language.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
