I have an approved H1B extension . I would like to bring my wife on an H4 and this is the first time she is applying for an visa. I wanted to schedule an interview at US Consulate Chennai for BOTH my H1B visa stamping, H4 visa stamping together as a SINGLE APPOINTMENT(JOINT INTERVIEW). Based on this could you please let me know?
1. How do I schedule ONE SINGLE APPOINTMENT for both H1B and H4, since TT Services site to schedule appointments for US Consulate Chennai interview allows to pick either one of them when you try to schedule ANDN'T both?
2. After scheduling for a joint interview for both H1B and H4 can it be CANCELLED? If so what are the RULES and what is the PROCEDURE?
3. After scheduling for a joint interview for both H1B and H4 can it be RESCHEDULED to another date available? If so what are the RULES and what is the PROCEDURE?
4. After scheduling for a joint interview, incase my wife is NOT able to show up for the interview can I ALONE appear for my H1B interview and she could RESCHEDULE her interview later? If so can you please let me know the RULES and what is the PROCEDURE ?
Also for new H4 , do I have to apply for ANY PETITON to INS get it APPROVED before trying to get H4 visa stamp at the consulate, something similar to I-129,I-797 incase of H1B.
