visa after abandoning gc

After abandonment of GC, say if I ever want to come back to US years later as a tourist, I would have the same chance of getting tourist visa as if I had never gotten a green card or lived in US before, or, does the fact that i abandoned my GC, affect their decision or the difficulty of giving me a tourist visa later in any positive or negative way?

Abandoning GC is different than surrendering GC. If you surrender GC, I am sure they will process your tourist visa with no extra requirements compared to someone who applies tourist visa for the first time. I read "abandoning" as they do not get notified where you are and so on ... I am not sure how that will be taken.

If you voluntarily surrender the GC, you'll easily get a tourist visa after that. But if you wait for them to forcibly cancel it, that's when you could have difficulty with getting the visa.
