Hi Folks,

My lawyer screwed up my I-140 petition in two ways:

1. He failed to attach the experience letters with the application. Even though he has it with him!!!

2. In the I-140 petition, the place where it says provide details of the person who filled this form, the details are filled up but the signature of the lawyer is missing.

I am really upset about this. I am now waiting for the I-140 reciept.

Question:

How can we fix this ?
Anybody else who has gone through the process of providing additional information without recieveing an RFE?

Please help !!!!

Did you contact your lawyer and found out exactly what he did? Before you jump to a conclution that your application was screwed up by your lawyer first talk to your lawyer, and waiting see if you will get a RFE.

I did check with my lawyer, he verified that he has made a mistake. I asked him as to how is gonna correct it and his answer was not very clear. I was hoping someboy here can provide some tips on the subject.

The advantage of your case is that you will save several thoundands USD. You lawyer should have responsibility to fix it and have no charge.
The disadvantage is that you may receive a RFE if other documents are Ok.
But, I am not a lawyer, you should ask a good lawyer help.
Good luck.

labor substitution

my employer has an approved labor cert that he is substituting for me. I EXACTLY MEET the job description, 4 yr bachelors degree requirement and the 5 yrs experience. its EB2.

however on the labor cert, major field of study it says "computer science" and i have a EE bachelors. On reading my edu eval, it shows that the way i took courses in school, i have a major in EE and a minor in comp science.

will my i140 be denied?

Jim, if you would comment, id really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone...and hope all get approved quickly...

vik.
