my company filied H1B n i got the receipt numberon may 12 now today when i checked my status online it shows this
REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
what does this means?

Your employer will receive the paper notification soon. Otherwise, please ask your employer to contact the USCIS Service Center that processing the H-1B application. Perhaps some documents are missing.
