Very urgent , infor please , about H4

I belong to chennai juridiction( karnataka according to my passport), but when I got my first H1 got it stamped in mumbai so is my wife. after that we revalidated in st.louis.

Now she is in india and she is insisting on stamping in mubai rather than chennai. I did see some info in some web site saying. If previous visa was stamped in mubmai irt is OK to get it stamped.

Please it is very urgent any info is appreciated.

Can she get stamping in mumbai or should she go to chaannai only ?

I guess so ...

I used to think too that you can go only to the Embassy/Consulate that deals with your jurisdiction area, but I read many posts from people, who have done otherwise without facing any problems.

Still, you might want to call up the Consulate, or the drop-box location, and see what they say.
