I have been workin as a full time employee to Company A on OPT. My OPT expires in October. Today my manager called me and told me that I was let go as there are some budget problems. I have got H1 approval filed by the same company.
Now what is my situation? I'm so confused.
1.I know i'm not out of status at this point of time as I still have valid OPT.Right?
2.Do I need to file another H1 from a new company B or is it possible to transfer the current H1 which would be valid from October 1st to the comapny B.
I think the quota for the students too has been filled.
Please suggest me what options I have. Thanks in advance.
