One of my school friends filed for I-485 three months ago and got a receipt notice a two weeks ago. The strange thing is that short after that, he got an INS request letter for FP. That is only 4-5 months after he filed for I-485.
Is this normal or what!!!! Does that mean his application is being process fast!!!!!

Is he applying for his green card based on asylum? the FP is a routine requirement that accompanies each I-485. The person who processes his application probably does not know that this process will take 10 years.

There's an incredible situation occured today!
My uncle received a fingerprint notice from BCIS, asking him to take f/p in new york local office!!
guess what?? my uncle applied for adjustment this <<february>>?!!
wassup happening???

I just feel out of roof that BCIS's so "efficient" now; or a dramatic change happened in their system that we don't know?

maybe BCIS computers are attacked by a virus that`s why now they are dealing with last come first serve instead of first come first serve.

Actually I think I got another FP notice letter like 2 weeks after I got the first one. If I recall correctly the letter said to disregard the notice if I have previously received a FP notice in less than XX number of days. Read the FP notice carefully.

My cousine filed I485 in Feb and already recieved FP notice end of april to do them in may?
what is going on with BCIS
