Hello All, Gurus please help!

Yesterday I have received my passports with visa stamped and the COPR documents, I have to land before Sept 30th. I have read in the thread that the AVR is still in effect. My concerns…

I have come to US from INDIA on B1 Visa and transferred to H1 and now in my 7th year. Can I use AVR with B1 visa (expired) stamp on my passport? My wife and two kids will accompany me. They have H4 Visa (expired) stamp. My wife is now on H1B, we both have I797 with I94. One kid with H4 extn and other one is US Born.

Learned from this thread, that should not surrender the I94. Which one the White one or the I94 attached with I797?

What is the difference between B4 and B4a Forms? Which form should I use B4 or B4a?

Planning to drive in my car to Detroit and from there to Windsor, as I live in Tennessee, Detroit is the nearest Border.

Any suggestions/advices are highly appreciated.

-- Status change does not matter. As long as you have an expired visa with a valid I-94, you are fine..

-- You should retain Both of them. In fact, they are the same I-94s - they have the same number if you observe it carefully.
