Very interesting..taking 60 to 180 days for 485

I applied for 485 from Nebraska in APril 2003. My case was transferred to Missouri service center in April 2004 and now the status message say this

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to
Adjust Status

Current Status:

On June 3, 2004, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to
Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 120 and 180
days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as
processing is complete.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status
results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from
USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National
Customer Service Center.


Did anyone of out there has similar experience?? I would appreciate if someone can help me here.

very intresting!!
vsc is very slow.it says 365 to 540 but sometimes it takes more time than process time also.
u guys r lucky!!
 
Does MSC process employemnt based 485 these days? Over a year ago, files were mistakenly transfered from NSC to MSC, only to be returned to NSC.

MSC is supposed to handle family based applications. Have things changed in the recent past?
 
I was at the district BCIS office and the officer told me that since this April 2004, the centers are transferring cases to reduce backlogs. He was very confident about it but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

My case was transferred to Missouri service center back on April 2003.After three months I have been told that it was a mistake to transfer my file to MO and on Sep 2003 my file was back to the line in Nebraska. Since then there is no news.

I don't know if they start processing I485 cases at MO: the last thing I know MO is where they save records for future use.

My attorney with help of state senator found out that my case is going to be transfered to a local office. Missouri center is storing my file and my local office is going to request the file for processing.

Whatever the hell these are people are doing, I hope it is for good.

I beleive in statement 'Everything happens for Good'
