okay as I was looking through the affidavit of support documents I came upon where they state the evidence of income a person must have in order to sponsor an immigrant and one of them is that they have to be currently employed to file the affidavit of support for the immigrant they are sponsoring.
well my soon to be wife, a us citizen, is currently unemployed and since she is the person that is going to be petitioning for me she has to file the affidavit of support in my behalf.
Now I called an immigration lawyer lawyer today and he said that even though she is unemployed that there is a way that she can still file the affidavit of support @ me getting a joint sponsor .
does anyone know if the affidavit of support thats filed by ur us citizen petitioner can be filed without him/ her being emplyed and if so how can it be done?
