Very Important Question about After GC approval ? :confused:

Hi All,

Can anyone let me know what is the legal timeline after you get your I485 approved, in the sense once you get your Green Card.

I am hearing one should stay for 6 months + is that true please confirm.

If not are there any issues if i try to change employer once I get my GC.

Should i stay for some period atleast with my employer.

Can you change your field of work?

I don't mean working at MC or anything. From a software job can you go ahead and take a job as a software strategy consultant etc as soon as one gets the green card?

Yes you may work anywhere in any capacity. You may even sit at home for a period and no restrictions on "Salary slip not available for a period".
