Hello canadian PR's,

I was browsing the PR card requirements on the official website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pr-card/prc-issues.html
I noticed that they have setup a Timeframe, within which current PR's are supposed to apply for the Card.
eg:
If you became a permanent resident in: Your application will be processed during the time period listed below:
For 2002 --- From October 15 to November 30, 2002
For 2001----From December 1, 2002 to February 28, 2003
For 2000 ----From March 1 to April 30, 2003.

I found this puzzling since Dec 2003 is the date given by which everyone should have a PR card.

My Landing date is Feb 2002. can i apply for a PR card even in 2003. i wonder where we all stand on this?

I would appreciate all your views and takes in this matter.

Thanks,

JaiJawan.

You should be fine

Its ok to apply in 2003 eventhough you landed in 2002.Your immigration paper is valid to travel till Dec 2003.You can apply any time before Dec 2003.
