I got my interview appointment notice, but there has been a change in my situation since the time i initially filed my papers back in february 07. Basically i stopped working, coz of H1B problems in April (couldnt consular process my transfer as I had no passport to travel). When i filed I used my income to meet the requirements (as it was over the requirement), my wife was a full time student (graduated in May, and was working part time). She has since quit her part time job, and is looking for employment in her field fo study (She petitioned for me).
Now in the interview notice, they say bring income information (2 months paystubs) and letter of employment, and same for her. I think i might have my EAD by July 15, which might allow me to be back at work, but what if I dont. And what if she still does't have a job either? Even if I have an EAD it will be for a period of less than 2 months.
Do they always really stress the income papers in the interview?
How have people handled this situation in the past?
Insight appreciated.
