Validity of PCC in chennai consulate

I have already applied for PCC since my lawyer does not want to proceed with mailing P3 to STL.....I know silly ....so the question is if I expect an interview in December will this PCC from July date suffice? Should I get another one just before I leave...

BTW I applied for PCC in New York and I will go for CP in chennai...God willing...

Can GC gurus please respond?

Some people have emailed the consulate about the validity of the PCC and have got replies indicating that the PCC is valid for a year. In any case, your PCC will be less than 6 months old if you get December interview, so you need not worry.

I had sent chennai an email, those fellows cut and pasted the information on PCC that we read on the web....it is not clear anyway...I do not know why they do not specifically answer to what I had asked.
