validity of passport for PP stamping

my wifes passport expires feb.2006, is that enough for PP stamping or does the passport must be valid for more than a year for PP stamping.
please advise

6 months should be good enough

But, if you apply for renewal you would get it in 3-4 weeks. I did renew before my PP stamping.

My spouse's passport was expiring in August 2005. We got it stamped in April 2005 without issues.
