Validity of L1 Visa While Out Of Country

Hi everyone,

Here is my situation:

I am 16 years old (turning 17 in February), and just moved to California, USA from Ontario, Canada with my family. My father is on L1 Visa, and the rest of my family, including myself, are on L1 Visa. I have had a bit of trouble adjusting to the move, so I may return to Canada for the remainder of my high school, and maybe university. If I leave California to Canada, and go to school there, for how long will my L1 be valid (allow me to still come back and live here)? Are there any ways for me to do this, so I can still be able to live here (USA) if I decide to later?

If you are a dependent of your Father's L-1, you should be on L-2. Can you pls check and confirm.

Sorry, typo, that is what I meant though. The rest of my family and I are on L2, not L1.
