Validity of EAD

We applied for EAD on 12/05/03...and got our I-EAD at charlotte office from 03/16/04 valid for 8 months resulting the expiration of 11/17/04... since it is expiring in next 3 months time.. we applied for renewal of EAD for both myself and spouce. To my surprise.. we received the EAD valid only for remaining 3 months.. what does this mean.. should we reapply again in DEC.. GURUS pls advice.

that means you might get ur GC approval soon. according to new EAD rule, they might be thinking that ur case will be approved in few months. you never know.
