Hi-

I hold Indian passport and am Indian citizen.
My 10 years on old passport expired and I had to get a new passport at Houston.
The Indian consulate cancelled my old passport and returned me the cancelled old passport + new passport.

I have valid H-1B visa stamp on old passport.

Can I travel to India and come back based on the valid H-1B visa stamp that's there in old passport? Or will I again have to go to US embassy and get a new Visa stamp on New passport?

Many thanks for all your help.

Regards,
Sanjeev.

You can travel with the old passport that has the valid visa and your new passport. Need to carry both passports.

nkm is right. Just keep both passports handy at POE - hand it over to officer.

Mention your new PP number while filling I-94.

Your visa remains valid(check old passport - it should mention that pp is cancelled - visa is still valid.).
