Vaccinations.. ouch!

Just wondering - I was going to get some of my vaccinations now (even if I don't get an interview they would be good for me to have... if I do get an interview then they are already done.)

Did anyone else get their vaccinations earlier?

Even though I have already had the measles and rubella one I still have to get the MMR and I desperately need a tetnus etc. I just prefer getting these through my normal GP.

Then I was going to get a blood test to show I am fully vaccinated against all etc.

Can anyone think of any issues I may run into?

Vaccination before medical.

If a winner has never taken any vaccination in life, what implication does it have on ones chances at the interview.
Is the medical clinic not supposed to give vaccination that has not been taken?
I need a quick response so that one can quickly get all that is required before the medicals.
What does the medical test aimed at achieving?
Thanks

Someone I know got a missing vaccination at the medical. But I think that is not possible for all vaccinations. For varicella you need two vaccinations in a 4 week intervall.

Tazmania,
Thanks for been there. However you have not addressed my questions, please look at them again and help. Must one take all the vaccination before the medicals? If not what implication? Kindly give the vaccinations required for:
1. a man of 35yrs
2. a woman of 29yrs
3. a child (female) of 2 and a half year old.
Thanks

Thats why you are doing the medicals so u can take the shots and have some other tests done on ya. Some designated hospitals do not have the shots, so they ask that you take them somewhere else before the medicals.

In my case (AOS) I took the immunization card and records that I had to the doctor and she gave me only one which had to be repeated every 10 yrs and mine was almost 10yrs old. So, if you do your immunizations early and take the records to the doctor, they should ok the report. I would even recommend this as long as you get and retain the records, because some immunizations are completed over time (requires 3 shots etc.).

For those of you who never got the shots you should have (during your childhood), you can get them from the doctor that fills this form. Sometimes, you don't have to get certain shots if you have had a disease in the past (which makes you immune). Showing a small chickenpox scar worked for me :)

remember that the medical report will be valid for 6 months. If you know approximately when your interview will be (based on last year's cut off numbers and your embassy's pace), you can get them done and out of the way earlier.
