You need MMR(measles, mumps and rubella)if you haven\'t had it.
and DPT(tetanus). Those are the only thing INS doctor required it.
I think. If you have taken both in 10 years and have a record to prove it, then you need to take it, otherwise you don\'t need to take anything

Of course not. Measles is not a big disease. As long as you\'re not having the disease, it\'s fine. But I think you don\'t need to take vaccination if you had it before, you became immune to the disease.
Doctor will tell you if you need to vaccination or not. Not everyone is suited for vaccination.

But you had it before is not going to block you getting 485. Unless you have AIDs. Then it\'s serious.

How about TB? Do we need to take any vaccinations for TB? What kind of TB tests are made when we go to INS Doctor.

TB TEST

The Doctor will run a TB Test by injecting some fluid in your arm, if your arm (where the fluid was injected) become redish then he will ask you to go for X-rays of your chest to examine weather you have TB ot not.
Majority people from India(and surroundings) fails in this test and that\'s why the doctors ask them to go for X-ray examination.
This is not a big deal as we people are immunized in our childhood that\'s why we fail in TB test ( as per my Doctor\'s explanation..)
So go ahead for this test without any hesitation......

What if the applicant or one of his family member was treated for TB in prior years. Does it affect anyway in getting green card?

well Family history doesn\'t matter

As far is the applicant and his dependents are free from TB at the time of test I don\'t see any problem in getting the GC...
But in case one is still infected then it is a problem...
