Vaccination for Pregnant

My wife is pregnant.
Will they waive all the Vaccinces or would give her some during her medical like tetnus or MMR?

I have a letter for her OBGyn that specifying that no vaccince should be given to her as she is pregnant (Actually we specified what should be the contents in her letter).
Should this be changed to something like "vaccines which might put her pregnancy in danger should not be given to her"?

You should't be overly concerned about this, because physicians will be
aware of the situation and they will waive those vaccinations that should not
be administered to a pregnant woman.

Obviously if the pregnancy is in early stages and/or does not show, then
you have to inform the physician.

So should be the X-Rays.

But the SPUTUM(may be the spelling is wrong, double check in you appointement letter packet) test will be required.

Thanks

folks,

just trying to confirm something:

I know this is a special case but in a normal situation.. my understanding is that they would do the SPUTUM test ONLY if they see any complication ing the XRAY.... is this true????

Thanks

I had the same situation with my wife. They will not give your wife any vaccination and also would not take any x-rays. However, they will do the skin-test for TB and if it comes positive then only they will do sputum test, otherwise no need to do that. Your understading is correct that sputum test is required onlt if there is anything suspicious in x-ray. But in pregnant lady's case they can not take x-ray so even if they see positive skin-test sometime they make you do sputum test. I'm not sure but I guess someone had to do that very recently.

I don't know which embassy you're going to, however, if you're going to B'bay and any hospital in B'bay will take 48 hrs for skin test result so make sure that you keep at least more thatn 2 days gap in your medicals and interview.
