Vacation dilemma..pls advise

Greetings,

I have a valid H1-B visa from my present company and my current I-94 expiry date is April 2006.I am supposed to join a different company from Feb-01-2006.I was planning a vacation to india and i have 2 questions regarding this:

1.If i have to travel after joining the new company, do i have to wait till the employer change process gets completed? Or i can just travel without any issues based on my current I-94 validity ( which is till April 2006)?

2.Assuming that i travel after i join the new company, do i need to visit the consulate in india to make changes to the my H1B (to get the visa issued in my new employer's name) ?

A: It is adviced not to travel during the H1B transfer (wait until H1B Approval).

2.Assuming that i travel after i join the new company, do i need to visit the consulate in india to make changes to the my H1B (to get the visa issued in my new employer's name) ?

A: If you don't have visa valid visa, then you would have to get it stamped in India. If you have valid visa then you can comeback to US on your new H1B.
