I have seen a lot VA /DC area people here. How are you guys dealing with recent attacks in that area ?

Just wondering...

Thanks for asking. Most of the people are edgy around here. I was looking around a bit yesterday while filling up gas. It has been over 72 hours since the last shooting.
We are just waiting for thsi thing to end

It's hard for beloved ones..

My husband works at Bethesda and living at Gaithersburg where major shooting occured & I'm in a different state.. It's scary.. I call him every now and then to make sure he is safe, but he does not care even a %..Waiting for this to end..

Sniper

Thanks for asking. We are all trying to keep our wits about ourselves. My wife almost has a fit when we need to fill gas. It has become a very difficult and stressfull chore to do the mundane things like filling gas, shopping etc. Lets hope they catch this person or persons quickly. If he strikes again it would bring this area to its knees.

An advice is pump your gas on weekend
and at a location which is near main street(busy street) of a town. Sniper won't hide at a town center. Don't go to gas station which is exposed and has no buildings around.

everything good or bad has to end and this too will end. Dont let it disrupt your day-to-day lives . Stay tough and be Alert.

Very Scary

I live close to seven corners where the lastest shooting happened (Yesterday...Oct 14th, around 9.30pm.....). After that even parking car in the office parking space seems to be little scary. My office is providing escorts from office to the car for all the employees. It sounds funny but the things are going really very bad. Another 'VEERAPPAN' in our area.

I saw one guy wearing helmet while filling up gas and also most of the people go inside the gas station shop instead of waiting outside till the gas fills up. Shopping Centers, Gas stations are empty....all sports activites are cancelled.....people are very scared to send their kids to school.....

The problem is there is really not a lot you can do. Other than some small caution here and there. You cannot hide for ever or lock yourself in.

And the fact that this keeps going on makes you paranoid. But the fact that you cannot do much makes you feel helpless. So it is a catch 22. My heart goes out to the sniper targets but I *try* not to think about it too much when I am outside.
