gc791188, you too are a valuable member of this board. I was going for exactly what v_a_rao said.

For the old timers, it gets difficult to write the same (or slightly similar) answers over and over again. They have acquired knowledge via various sources, are happy to share here and do not hold anyone to it if it gets repeated.. after all it is not a MS or a PhD thesis where you have to quote every reference. No one is looking for any credit here

For the newcomers, they feel - "well, i am not an expert in these matters compared to (naming some names that come to mind quickly) milk, greaty-k, futuregen, july16, dma_va, ric2 etc etc. etc. - so i will let them answer this".

But the old timers can't do that all the time. Also if someone is wrong, the older folks are happy to point that out. They are teachers who watch from a distance, only to correct when necessary.

Thus folks if you have an answer to a question and have time enough to type it out (never mind the typos) please do - share and share alike
