USPS Tracking - My Options?

Hello All,
I would like to know your opinion(s) on this situation.
I sent our N400s in 2 separate packages to TSC last friday. But the tracking number (Delivery Confirmation) only shows up for 1 of them. When I key in the other number, I get - "there is no record for this number". When I called USPS, they said it i possible that the carrier missed entering this. My questions would be:
1. Could this be true (that entering conf was missed) and I should be fine?
2. One way to find out is to wait (until 15 weeks or whatever) and based on the check clearing figure out that the app was sent/received.
3. Call USCIS to try and find this out (if they received)
4. What would happen if I apply again?

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance for all the suggestions.

Why did you send your application in two separate envelopes?

I did send it in two separate envelopes too. If one gets lost the other still has a chance ;) However, I just sent them regular mail, no tracking, no anxiety. I would say wait to see when the checks are cashed.

Thanks Huracan, that is some relief. I'll have my fingers crossed until both my checks clear.
I sent them separately because we are no longer family based and so I treated them separately.

I suggest you go to the post office itself and talk to them. That is much better than a robot on the telephone.

Also did you use APC or the real counter in post office? I have found recently APC mechanism of tracking is not as reliable as the green tracking slip that we paste in USPS.

I did speak to live people who were of no help and had used the green receipt at the UPS store (which also doubles as a USPS counter). My hope is that it is an error on the part of the carrier which did not scan correctly at the distribution center and that both my checks would clear (whenever one does)
