USMLE & Adjustment of status !

I am getting married in three months time and my fiance has done his MBBS from India. I am on H1 and have filed for my 485 and would be including him as a dependent for the adjustment of status. What are the requirements inorder for him to get an admission into the residency program here thru USMLE. He might get his EAD in 4-5 mnths after i file for him. What all documents(certificates from old school) does he require, and is there any specific course he has to undergo in India(compulsary physchiatric rotation or anything like that).
Any help in this matter would be higly appreciated.

Request USMLE booklet from ECFMG (www.ecfmg.org) and licensing requirements from the state board of medicine where he intends to attend residency program.
 
Question for YOOPER!

I heard that certain certificates he has to get from the med school where he did his undergrad. Like every department where he did his rotation and all. Can u help me with more information. Any help would be higly appreciated.

I dealt with this 10 years ago, so, my memory may fail me. If I remember it right, no such certificates were required to obtain ECFMG Certificate. ECFMG will verify his credentials directly with the medical school dean. Certificates you are asking about may be requested by the state licensing authority. Their requirements vary from state to state, that\'s why you should inquire particular licensing body about it.
