Hello to everyone,
As many people here, I am stuck in the namecheck for almost 1.6 years since 2005. However, I know that my local FBI office has conducted a very careful background security check on me. I actually had a meeting with an FBI Special Agent who asked me a bunch of questions about my background in my home country and the USA. This meeting occurred in the end of 2004. Today I decided to call this Special agent to check if there were any problems with my security check. I explained him that the reason for my call is that I have problems with security check for USCIS. This Special Agent was very nice and informed me that my local FBI found nothing on me. Moreover, he told me that if I provide him with a name of a person handling my case, he can give this person a call.
My questions are as follows:
1) Can I use somehow a security check from my local FBI office for USCIS security clearance?
2) Is there a unit in FBI headquarters in Washington which is responsible for USCIS security clearance? Does anyone know how to contact this unit?
3) Is there a person in TSC to whom a special agent can call?
Any suggestions on these questions will be greatly appreciated. I feel that I can use somehow a fact that I've been checked by FBI but I do not know how to use it.
