I am thinking of putting my cousins address in my I485 application. The reason is that i shift projects every 6 months or so. Also my car ,drivers license is all registered at my cousins place and all my mail goes there too. so in a way i treat that as my home .But sometimes i have to sign lease at other places too.
Do you guys see any issue with this .... Will there be an issue with my EAD /i EAD etc (if i have to get that after 90 days for my wife).
pls advise with your experiences

Also if i maintain my cousins address as my home ,do i need to file a AR11 if i join a project somewhere else for 3 months .I dont think so but pls advise

i did the same thing and got my EAD renewed in 'virtual' address..
but not sure how this impact 485...

Really do not know about the impact on your I-485 process.

I was living in KS previously. Since my company was moving me to CA, I thought I would leave my family in KS and travel to KS once every 15 days. Our Attorney and employer could not suggest anything that is gauranteed. Instead of taking risk, I moved my family with me.

The main problem would be leasing an apt and your utility bills would be local to you. If USCIS investigates for not submitting AR-11 etc, how will you be able to explain your presence in the local address. Also, in the present day situation, even if the cops stops you for break signal not working, depending on your luck, your Id and address would be verified. They may find that you report your address as your cousins place, but you are living in the next street. This may lead to AR-11 violation..., I am not trying to scare you. I am only giving you a caution.
If you find a solution, let us know..., I to would like to get out of CA and put my family in a cheaper place and travel frequently.

re:

from what i understand . you can always have a PERMANENT address (the address where u intend to return always ) .u can live in hotel, another apartment etc but ur home is ur home . i am planning to get a driver license at the same address and have all my mails go to that place. as per utility bills ,i live with my cousin .... he pays for them ...

i am scared too but i think this is the best option for me right now especially because my project changes every 6 mths .

That is absolutly not correct. Cops cannot meddle into immigration issues. They are NOT going to verify AR11 violations etc. Stop spreading absulte crap like this. Verify facts before (mis) stating something.

Guys .
This is a forum .I think we should allow people to say what they think abt the issue we ask. If we want to take their suggestion its totally upto us . so i would respect peace_of_mind view. he is not deliverately trying to scare of us or put doubts in our mind . he is saying 'what he feels'.. and he is not a lawyer ... so he may/may not be correct .

Sertra2002,
What you say I do not bother. Open you eyes and see what is happening to legal immigrants. Have you read Markendeyulu's case in FL or may be you have not read what happened to Indian guys in NY city restaurant. May be you were sleeping while the chicago based medical students plight on FL highway. If necessay on the law of Patriot Act, cops have rights to go any far. Even if one micreant gives a wrong information to police, legal immigrants have to prove themselves as innocent. If police doubt the authenticity of your legal presence, they have the right to contact immigration authorities. It may take 24-48 hours for them to realize that you are legal presence, but immagine your plight. Do not expect to have first hand experience. Have you ever heard news/discussion on Pacifica Radio or NPR or did you ever listen to discussions on democracy now. Mintinng money is not important. Living in safe and peace is important.
Also, let me give you one observation, when ever I used flights in the recent past, I observed that 80% of the time checks are done only on foriegn faces.
