Hi All,

I was wondering is it a good idea to follow up (using infopass) on getting a status on the oath letter. It will be 2 weeks since i cleared my interview on the date i have my infopass appt.

Can anyone advise me as to whether this will be worth my time or will it have a negative effect with the Officer saying why r u enquiring for it so early?

My local office is Atlanta DO

Thanks for all your help

Did someone say "optimistic person" here... Sorry but I think you will waste your time asking for an oath just 2 weeks after the interview...here in Miami it takes around 90 days in average from the interview to the oath if everything is really fine... I would transfer your infopass to a little later and keep looking this forum regarding oath dates in your DO.

Infopass is the biggest waste of time. You won't get information at all. They should go ahead and rename it into "Noinfopass". That will be more fitting.

My office was in Chicago, and my oath letter came in exactly 2 weeks. Just hold on a little longer. It will come soon enough. I know that waiting is the worst part, but it will be well worth it. Hang in there.

Thanks Irishalien for your words of support. I think you all are correct, I have cancelled mu infopass appt. Hopefully my oath will come soon! Thanks for all your input

3 months after the interview I took an Infopass appt regarding the Oath Letter and all that guy said was 'you will be notified'.

Regards

Hi Vicmac,

Could you tell me more about your case. Was it at Atlanta DO? Also what happend during your interview, and what was checked on your N-652 (interview results)?

Thanks

Hi there!!!
I had my interview a week ago and at the end I was given form N-652 with field " you pased English/Civic test " and field " Congratulations, your application has been recommended for approval" checked off. I also saw when she put red stamp "APPROVED" on my N-400.
The officer told me then I should hear from them up to 1 month about Oath ceremony.
I think you should wait a little more but that is my personal opinion
Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Hi Shahidsan,

My DO is Philly, I was given form N-652 with field " you pased English/Civic test " and field " Congratulations, your application has been recommended for approval" checked off. That was in Oct. No Oath letter yet and was told to wait for it. No additional info given at the Infopass.

Regards

Hi Vicmac,

Could you tell me if did use the infopass, and were able to talk to Officer. If so what did they say about the delay. From what i have heard they say 6-8 weeks to get it.

Shahidsan,

I did take an infopass appt to ask about the Oath letter. The Info Office told me that 'I might get it for the next ceremony or the following one'. He was not not sure about it and asked me to write a letter regarding the Oath. I had the letter ready and he asked me to mail it to the DO(which is the same place as the Info Office) and hoped that it would fall into the right hands at the DO. I did not get much info on the Oath status.

Regards

Hi Vicmac,

Just wanted to give you an update. I had my interview on Jan 17th, and pass the tests. What i did is write a polite Thank-you letter to the Officer who interview me at Atlanta DO, and also enquired about when I should be expecting a oath letter.

I got my oath letter on Jan 27th, Oath is scheduled for Feb 3rd. Not sure if the Officer read my letter, but in my opinion there is no harm in sending one!

Good Luck!

Hi Superho

My undrestanding is the Oath letter is generated at the DO. My Oath letter was locally posted by my DO office.

Hope that answers your question

Good Luck!
