Using FedEx envelopes for return mailing

When I sent my application, I had send three prepaid FedEx airway bills for return mailing along with empty envelopes. I had put on each envelope the the purpose of the envelopes i.e. "Receipt Notice", "Fingerprint Notice" & "Interview" but despite that they chose to send the receipt notice via US Post. I am guessing they will do the same for the other two pieces of mail as well.
Does anyone have experience using any of the private courier companies like FedEx, UPS, etc for return mailing from CIS?
Should I write them a letter and request that they use the provided FedEx envelopes for future correspondence?

You have no control of USCIS process. I would recommend, you just let them do what they normally do... :D

As the interview date will normally be 8-12 months from the day your application was received, you cannot expect USCIS to save all those envelopes in your file.

I am told by US CIS and by lawers that the US CIS will send FedEx out if the airway bill is completed and selected to be billed to the receipient. Make sure you include there your 9 digit account number. FedEx, I am sure, has daily pickups at the US CIS locations. Some people expected US CIS to pay for that FedEx shipment. It does not work that way. I have no idea why your airwaybill was not used, but I do believe that US CIS will make a good effort to use them when provided. They save USPS money and it is more efficient for you. :) :) :)

I did fill out a valid FedEx account number on the three airbill and made it billable to recipient so that I pick the tab. I went one step further and also provided the envelopes. May be that was a problem. May be they discarded the envelopes as well as the airway bills.

That is really bad. You should always do ONE STEP BACKWARD with INS because that is the direction INS HAS BEEN GOING FOR SO MANY YEARS !
:D :D :D
