I am a fresh guy in this forum.
My NIW I-140 is just approved, but I-485 was submitted last year and still pending. Unfortunately, recently visa number retrogression is happened.
At present, I am a postdoc (H1B1) in a university. I am ready to move into a research/development department in industries. I think my research field is not dramatically changed and hope to match the similar research category described in my NIW application, for example, a research biochemist. Could you answer two of my questions?
1) What percent of chance is there that my I-485 will be rejected? Could you show me any example?
2) Can I apply for H1 transfer (from academics to industries) and I can work immediately? Or Should I re-apply for a new H1 for industrial work? (The university does not have H1 quota issues.)
Thanks in advance!
