using AC21, new Lawyer fees?

Hi,
I would like to know how much it would cost me on an average if I use AC-21 and hire a new lawyer to represent my case?

my I-140 approved, 1st FP will be nextweek. EAD's approved.

thanks

My attorney is asking me $3000 to represent for AC-21.
He can respond upto 3 times for that.. Anything after that would
be extra and will be determined at that time.

WOW that is expensive

I think so too. But since he was by attorney for previous filings,
I do not want to start all over again with new attorney.
But my concern is: Is it going to work or not...

I think This is too much

I shopped around for Lawyers asked couple of my friends to ask their lawyers and on an average they said it was around 1K to 1.5k. 3k is almost double.

If you are in NJ then I can suggest you one send me a PM and I will give the details. I think it is inappropriate to mention other lawyer details on this site.

Good Luck

I agree and know 3k is high. But since he is my attorney from day1 + my comfort level. As long as my process continues, I will be paying even more than that. Afterall I want results.

Two years before my attorney charged me $500 for AC-21 But she was the one who applied for the I-485 also.

If you are going just for AC-21 they usually chagre more (like $1000)

But also depends upon the complexity of the case.

My case is "plain vanilla" type. no complications. so I guess the attorney fee could be anywhere from $1000 - $1500. Does this include any RFE's also or they will charge any special fee for RFE's?
