Use tick or X for YES or No box?

Can someone tells me, for DS230 Part 1, and Part 2, for the Yes and No questions, do i use Tick or X for Yes or No box? of course if my answer is yes, do i tick Yes or put an X on the Yes box? Thank you very much!!!

Anyone who is the winner please help me.

I'd say use an X.

The reason I would suggest this is because the official forms downloaded from the USCIS website use an X in their autofill.

Good luck with your forms and don't forget it's very important to write your case number in the top right hand corner of EVERY form.

Thanks for the prompt reply,

I was thinking, if i use an X for Yes or No box, doesn't it mean i choose the other if i put an X on Yes so which mean i tell others i choose No. LOL. For an example, if i put an X for Male doesn't it mean like i'm Female because i put an X instead of tick on Yes.

X is a selection.

I think I understand your concerns.

If you place an X in a box, you are not crossing out that option but selecting it.

So to use your example as reference, if you are a male, you would place an X in the box next to 'Male' and leave the box next to 'Female' blank.
