Use EAD to employ myself

Hi all:
I would like your help on my case. I am laid off after I-485 pending more than 180 days. I am kind of worried not able to find another job with "same or similar job". because of economy and war. My question can I open my own company and be employed by to preform "same or similar" job. ? From what I understand, AC 21 only require 2 condition to be met. I-485 pending for 180days and the "same or similar". There is no mention of location or salary. Of course, my best bet is to find right job or NO RFE. Alos, can I apply for unempolyment benefit?

-- INS gave a clarification on AC-21 sometime ago (u can search on www.murthy.com). Location and Salary can be different till such that the applicant is NOT a public charge. So, it distinctly says u cannot apply for unemployment

nop, but someone from your immidiate family start company and empoyee you, ofcourse you need good lawyer in case there is REF

I don't think even though you might eligiable, you don't want to do that as INS (BCIS) became more and more strick about rule and regulation, so may be atlantabhopali interpration make more sense for AC21 clarification.

and don't worry about same or similar job, you should able to find something in somewhere from 50 state (there is not geographic limitiation in AC 21 as far as I know)
