Usda Termination Of J-1 Waiver Program

I am one of the physicians affected by the usda termination of j-1 waiver program(I had a pending application).I would like to discuss other options with people in similar boat.suggestions from anyone else is welcome.is there any chance of adjudication of the pending waivers.

Try getting waiver through state 20 conrad program they r planning to increase the number from 20 to 40 soon if u r Internist try going to VA

Thanks for the reply. I completed my fellowship a few months ago. According to my attorney, we have a H1 petition pending. So, until INS either approves or denies my H1, I will have a valid \'status\'.

Will I be able to apply through conrad 20 program. Most of the states accepts applications only after july.

Is there anything else I can do to keep my status valid until I get a state-20 job/approval?

If ur petition for H was applied before u completed ur fellowship u r considered in status as 1-94 has D/S stamped ie duration of status in it.
It is not true that state 20 starts accepting application in july there fiscal year starts from oct 1 so find out fron state department of health of ur state if the area where u got a job is qualified as MUA/HPSA if yes act fast and get all the required documents from them they are very nice people and are very helpful so please donot lose time and do ur little home work
which state did u get ur waiver and what felloowship did u complete
