USCIS will use new secure method to mail Green Cards in the future

To get a Green Card delivered to eg. a hotel, one needs to provide ID at the point of delivery, or authorize hotel personel to sign on behalf of the recipient.

I wonder if this would also work with mail forwarding services.

I like the holding option. It's good if you know where you plan to settle (the general area - so you can pick a post office close to you) but not exactly where you would be able to stay / rent / get job.
