I was just wondering when I should expect the uscis site to have an updated status after my citizenship application approval? I have not received the oath letter yet. Thanks!

Nope. My Online status is still in Testing and Interview even after the Oath.

Hmmm

I had my interview and got my oath letter on 03/03/2010 but my case status on the USCIS website still hasn't been updated from 11/24/2009: RFE. :S

The online status is designed to to go thru status of many stages but in practice it had only one status (initial review) and after august 2009,two more status have been added
- request for evidence (fingerprinting) and interview and testing. So final stage now is interview and testing (thoughduring this stage,LUD can change several times).

More status can be added in the future but now it ends here. Also if more status are added, they are only added to pending cases. So anyone who completed oth before last agust still
have status being "initial review" If USCIS add more staus in future, those of us who are already naturalzied will be still stuck with "interview and testing"

why you guys care much about on line status after approval....

Man, you never got an email saying your application has been denied? Then you look, and see it is for an advanced parole filed 5-6-7 years back.

Or, you are going through an FBI name and FP check, and your case status is changing like the slot machine.

It builds a habit ... in my days I had an excel macro which will open the case status of me/wife EAD/parole/485 - all 6 in one click of a button.

I know....I went thru somewhat similar process for 485/etc....but my point is time to relax and enjoy your new prospects.. ...at least for N-400 purposes, status update is almost meaningless...you may already get your passport, N-400 application still shows interview stage...

Same thing on my side. I became a US citizen last February and my status is still testing/interviewing. Looks like once you are done the online status really does not matter. The assumption is most likely that this is for informative purposes for the applicant and once you have completed the process you will not check your status anyway. Still, they might have put a final status like "Completed" for reference purposes. Should not be a big deal to put something like this in the system.
