This report card is almost a slap in the face of people whom the USCIS has totally screwed over. I am one of them. They misplaced my file, lost a bunch of documents and did a lot of other things that made this process hell for me. I am sure this has happened to a lot of other people.
The reality is that the USCIS has improved its processes but in doing so they have neglected a good number of applicants. Their policies have helped a majority of newer "luckier" applicants in the short term but those that they have neglected have been totally screwed over. The bottom line is that their numbers look good and thats all they are concerned about. They could care less that a few thousand applicants have been literally robbed. Its like war, there is going to be collateral damage. The neglected folks are collateral damage. No one is going to create a fuss about us because the greater good (a more efficient USCIS) is being achieved. So what if a few thousand immigrants are illtreated. Thats the grim reality ...
