USCIS online case status checking

Hi,

How long does it usually take for USCIS put in the case 1st time
in their online system ?
It's been only a month :p but I feel like they should have my case
at least registered in their online system. But they haven't ....
I filed EB-1 OR at CSC.

Normally 2-3 days but there can be always some exceptions.

It turns out that USCIS is having some sort of problem with their
online case status system right now and they expect it to be
corrected within a few weeks.

May I ask why you withdrew your 1st I-140 ?
Was there any consequenses from withrawing it ?

I got two RFEs on my NIW. The second one was very specific and asked me to show that I'm "the" best in my field, which obviously most of grad students are not. After consulting with my lawyer, we came to decision to withdraw the petition. Her view was that a withdrawal is much better than a rejection. It didn't cause a problem as far as I can tell, since my OR petition approved without any problems.
 
looks like USCIS automated case status is having some problems. through website it seems to be working. but through the 1-800 number, it says temp problems and cant access your case details...
 
My case status LUD (through USCIS website) is May 9th 2005. But for the past 10 days, whenever I check the status through their 1-800 number, it says" we are sorry. Due to a temporary problem in our system we cant access your information. Please try again at a later time". Why the case status through website and toll free number are different? Does it mean that my case had been pulled out of their system and some action taken? Please share your experiences in this regard. thanks

Don't worry, actually I never saw my case status on-line. The system always told me "... not found ... ... check case number ... "

In another thread, I read that some people didn't have their case successfully into the on-line and/or phone system, but it turns out just an error for status checking system, not really something wrong.

This morning, as a daily job, I tried my case number again, and it shows "approved" on-line. Seems if CIS somehow missed the input operation to the on-line checking system, it will miss for ever until the next update.

So take it easy, and wait for your good news :)
