I think most of the EB3 cases until June 2002 have already been approved. What do they preadjudicate now?

""04/10/2006: USCIS Initiates Preadjudication of I-485 Applications During the Period of Retrogression

The USCIS/Nebraska Service Center has annnounced that it has launched the procedure of adjudication of I-485 applications even during the period of visa number retrogression. The intention of this "preadjudication" initiative is to prepare eligible cases to the greatest extent possible, short of approval, in anticipation of the availability of a visa.
More important than this preadjudication notice is that the Service Centers may issue RFEs or Biometric notices while they process the cases on preadjudication initiative, and if the applicant fails to timely respond or comply with other notices or requests, the applications may be denied. The I-485 waiters should watch closely their mails religiously from now on in order not to experience a deadly consequence for failure to respond. |"The unconfirmed sources also indicates that the USCIS field offices are currently under operation to achieve the goal of 6 months adjudication of benefit applications. The preadjudication initiative may have something to do with such move. ""

Does this mean any good news for the Folks who got Biometrics Notice Recently

Last few weeks i have seen couple of Threads saying they got Biometrics Notice esp from NEBRASKA....

Does this mean they have any good chance for getting 485 Approval soon...

Thanks
Shekar PC

If I-140 approved

and I-485 application still not gone to NSC, will this pre-adjudication allow me to send my I-485/EAD application?. Will they accept my application or simply return it? Please advise,

I BELIEVE USCIS CAN DO THIS JOB, BUT NOT THE FBI. RESULT: THOUSENDS OF PEOPPLE WAITING FOR GC.

Hi skp,
I can tell you for a fact that not all application before June 2002 were adjudicated. Mine is November 2001 and I have not heard anything from them yet. Fingerprints expired a few days ago so.. I wish I would be that optimistic but like the others in this forum I can tell you, I don't believe in much progress before next year.. visa cap is almost reached.. EB3 is the most disadvantatged category.. :(

I don't think you can apply the I485 without your PD being current. I believe all this means is people whoever applied the I485 before the retrogression, probably they applications will be picked up for some preadjustication. But again, My PD has been current for a while and been almost 6 months now but still haven't had any good news yet.

But again I think it is a positive thing that they are going to do some preadjustication work.
