Guys and Gals,
I found this on immigration-law.com. Thought it was interesting ...
According to the USCIS Director, as of the end of July 2006, there were approximately 1.1 million backlog cases of immigration benefit petitions and applications. Out of the total backlog cases, nearly ONE MILLION cases are backlogged for reasons outside of USCIS control such as unavailable visa numbers or customer induced delays, and the remaining 140,000 cases are backlogged because of the USCIS processing delays.
So the USCIS can currently work on only .1 million of 1.1 million pending cases. This just shows the extent of the ridiculous laws and policies of the DOL, DOS and USCIS.
