USCIS and Info Pass Problems having I-751 approved

hi

I have recently received my letter being approved to have my conditional staus lifted. I have been trying for 4 weeks to get an appointment to get my pp stamped, but can never get one. Doesnt matter what time of day I try.

Yesterday I was trying and checked the box 'talk to an immigration officer' I then proceed to make the appointment unaware of that I had done.

When I got the confirmation screen, my PC died and I didnt get the password.

I have spent about 4 hrs trying to get someone to help me at the 1-800 but all say it cant be canx.

Should I keep this appointment as it is a 400 mile round trip and pled that I didnt realise what I had done, or not go and keep trying to get the real appointment.

It is in Miami and the app. with the officer is in a different building to the one where I should be going.....

Anyone any advise ?

Thanks

Nill,

You don't need to make an info pass, once your conditional status is approved, you should be able to get your gc in the mail in a short period of time. You will be wasting your time, gas and energy going for a stamp, which might not be granted cause your card has been ordered. However, Miami is a very nice place, wouldn't mind being there everyday of the week, especially Coconut Grove... :)

Simply wait for a couple of days, and try making another appt, which I think there is no need for, but since it is your prerogative, make one. USCIS might think you are being overzealous for this stamp, because your card should be in mailed very soon...

Hi:

Some of the people who filed I751 still fall under the old procedure. What you are referring to is indeed the new procedure. However, the OP should follow the instructions given to her in the letter and go for an appointment.
