USCIS account number?

Everything I'm readng says you retrieve your account number from your profile page AFTER APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED (will be on the Notice of Action).

However, I haven't filed yet, and my attorney has prepared my documents, and needs an account number to upload my docs. I'm going around in circles.

How do I get an account number for my attorney to upload my documents, when I haven't filed anything yet?
 
Does anyone have an answer for this one? For filing for GC for parents (who are currently here) when will they get an Alien Registration number (A-number)?
