a quickie: if you have grounds for canceling (or rather: postponing) an interview for AOS because the USC (my wife) is sick, in a hospital, or in rehab, or whatever reason, what would happen?

Will i be denied my conditional GC? is there a way to reschedule the interview? anyone had this experience before? how bad are the consequences?

i just discovered my USC wife has some serious drug issues and needs to be taken to detox and possibly rehab thereafter. that's something she's been hiding from me since we met (most addicted people are in denial). she has a past i was unaware of.

i've put so much efforts in putting my application together, now i don't know what to do. on top of that, she's showing now signs of bi-polarism, possibly as a consequence of take heroin again. i'm so afraid she screws up the interview if we go before she's 'clean', which might take anywhere from 2 to 6 months. i have never taken any drug in my entire life, not even pot, and now am stuck, married to a drug addict who can technically screw up my entire life because i trusted her.

i need some serious advice. i still love her and don't want to let her down and divorce. she needs my help as her tense relationship with her family is part of the reason why she fell again for drugs. it's a long story. we've been married only 3 months and moved in together after the marriage. i started noticing this habit (seringes, little bags of hero) about 2 weeks ago while cleaning the bathroom and opened her make-up bag, and it scared the hell out of me.

please help!!!!

If you postpone in time, you should get a postponement, nothing else. Your interview is set for a later date. It should only delay the process by how much time they decide to push forward the interview.

It helps to live with someone before you get married to avoid such cases. Good luck.
